Th'owd Tithe Barn, The Wharf, Church Street, Garstang a hugely atmospheric and characterful canalside pub dating back to 1710 and was originally a tithe barn used for the storage of corn. It has retained its rustic theme with the barn-like interior, enormous fireplace, communal party table and myriad agricultural implements helping create a unique ambience, summer or winter. Expect traditional pub grub with hearty portions, although there is a light bite menu. The Tithe Barn has a selection of 18 fruit wines, 16 regular wines, 3 guest ales and excellent disabled facilities inside and out. Watch out for regular medieval, Victorian and Bavarian theme nights.
Owd Nell's Tavern, Bilsborrow is situated on the Lancaster Canal and serves a good choice of cask kept ales and lagers with wines from around the world, as well as home-made beef steak and kidney pudding, local game in season, chargrilled Aberdeen Angus Scottish steaks and fresh fish from Fleetwood. Relax on the canalside patios were you can eat and drink whilst watching the canal barges and ducks.
